Ad spending up in 2005

Ad Age reports a projection by TNS Media Intelligence  that ad spending will grow 5.1% in 2005 to $150.5 Billion.  Not a bad prognosis considering the millions spent on the Summer Olympics and the 2004 political ads.  Some highlights:

  • The internet will post the fastest growth up 11.2%
  • Spanish language TV- up 9.4%
  • Cable TV up 9.3%
  • Network TV up 2.9%
  • B2B Magazines up 1.5%
  • Spot TV up 0.6%
